A new Connexiscala (Mollusca: Gastropoda: Epitoniidae) from the bathyal zone of the Gulf of Aden

Abstract

A bathyal species of Epitoniidae, Epitonium (Connexiscala) smriglioi n. sp., is described from the Gulf of Aden and the type species of the subgenus is figured.

Key words: Caenogastropoda, new species, deep-sea, taxonomy, type specimen.
