Studies on African Calymperaceae, VII. New records and identification key of species of the non-leucobryoid Calymperaceae species of Madagascar

Abstract

Abstract: Calymperes motleyi Mitt. ex Dozy & Molk., Mitthyridium flavum (Müll.Hal.) H. Rob., Syrrhopodon croceus Mitt. and S. incompletus Schwägr. var. incompletus are new to Madagascar and S. leprieurii Mont. is a new American-African disjunct species, S. cuneifolius Thér. is recognized as a synonym of S. leprieurii. All taxa of Calymperaceae (Calymperes 10, Mitthyridium 2, Syrrhopodon 21) known from Madagascar are listed below with more than 100 new distribution data. The key and the distribution patterns of taxa are also published.
