Abstract
Sixteen species and a variety of the Pottiaceae are newly reported for Pakistan. Barbula longicostata X.J. Li and Barbula funalis Dixon and Badhw. are synonymised with Didymodon acutus var. icmadophilus (Schimp. ex Müll. Hal.) R.H. Zander. and Pseudocrossidium hornschuchianum (Schultz) R.H. Zander respectively. A note on Syntrichia montana Nees is given.
