Abstract

This study was designed to inventory the flora of hepaticas along an elevation gradient between sectors called Cerro El Avila and Lagunazo in the located in the Avila National Park. six localities were collected for a total of 294 samples, which are distributed in 18 families, 41 genera and 59 species of hepatics. Lejeuneaceae was determined to be the richest family of genera and species (18 genera / 28 species). The distribution of the species showed a high specificity for substrates soil, bark and leaf for different studies areas. Of the total number of species, 8 represent new records for the country, while 12 species are additions to the bryoflora of the mountain range. Cystolejeunea lineata (Lehm. & Lindenb.) Evans, are considered vulnerable according to th International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) in the Libro Rojo de las Briofitas de Colombia.
