Abstract
Comments are given regarding a preliminary list of 48 families of mites collected on mosses in Mexico: 11 Mesostigmata, 17 Prostigmata (=Actinedida), 1 Astigmata and 19 Cryptostigmata (=Oribatei); a general analysis is made of the relationship between the bryophytes and their associated fauna. An in-depth study of this faunal group must reveal a much greater number of associated species.
