Abstract
This is a faunistic analysis and checklist of 533 species of mammals known in China. Included in this booklet are: an analysis of taxonomic richness of the mammals in China in comparison with that in the world, an analysis of the aggregated distribution of mammalian species richness in China, and a complete checklist of the mammalian fauna of China, with a census of the numbers of orders, families, genera and species.
