Abstract
The Joint Meeting of the XV International Conference on Ephemeroptera and XIX International Symposium on Plecoptera, was held between the 3th and 8th of June 2018 in Aracruz, Brazil. This was the first Joint Meeting to be held in Brazil and the second in South America, exactly 20 years after the meeting in Argentina. Seventy five delegates and five accompanying persons from 19 countries attended the meeting, which consisted of eight invited lectures, 36 oral presentations, and 40 poster presentations. The papers in this volume are representative of the lectures, oral presentations and posters presented at the meeting. We would like to dedicate these proceedings to the memory of an exceptional mayfly specialist, Dr. Tomáš Soldán, who passed away on August 2018 but gave us the opportunity to share his company during the Joint Meeting in Brazil.
