Abstract
The genus Erschoffia Swinhoe, 1900 is reinstated from synonymy with Aspitates Treitschke, 1825 to accomodate four ennomine species characterized by asymmetrical male genitalia. Erschoffia remmi, sp. nov. is described from the Western Tien Shan. E. acuminaria (Eversmann, 1851) exhibits a disjunct distribution between the highlands of Middle Asia and the Caucasus. The distribution and taxonomic significance of four key diagnostic characters of Erschoffia within Ennominae are analyzed.
