New distributional records and a new species of Odontocerostira Merkl from China (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae: Lagriinae)

Abstract

The genus Odontocerostira Merkl, 2007 is reviewed with three species: O. hexamaculata (Chen & Yuan, 1996), O. qinlingensis (Chen & Yuan, 1996) and O. liangi sp. nov. New provincial records in China are provided for the two known species. High-quality illustrations of the habitus, aedeagus, and diagnostic features of the three species are presented for morphological comparison. An identification key to the species is also provided.
