Abstract
Choeras subparallelus Gao, van Achterberg & Tang, sp. nov., is described and illustrated from China (Yunnan). The new species can be distinguished from congeners with similar minute areolet of the fore wing by the following features: first metasomal tergite nearly subparallel-sided; mainly reddish and quadrangular second tergite, and ovipositor sheath 1.3 × longer than hind tibia. An update is supplied to the latest identification key to the Chinese species of Choeras.
