Abstract
Fissidentaceae (Bryophyta) is the third largest moss family in Brazil, represented by 70 species. This work was aimed at presenting three new records from Brazil: Fissidens ecuadorensis Pursell & Brugg.-Nann., F. steerei Grout and F. yucatanensis Steere. These species have been collected from different phytogeographic domains: Amazon Forest, Atlantic Forest and Cerrado. Such species play an important role to geographic distribution knowledge of these taxa. Diagnostic characteristics, comments and illustrations are herewith presented.
