Abstract

The genus Sacculiphora Liu, 2021, was first described in China with the type species Sacculiphora cultrata Liu, 2021. As part of an ongoing study on the diversity of scuttle flies in Peninsular Malaysia, several specimens from the genus Sacculiphora Liu were collected from several selected locations in the states of Johor, Kedah, Melaka and Selangor. In this paper, three new species of Sacculiphora i.e., Sacculiphora jeramensis sp. nov., Sacculiphora kwailanae sp. nov. and Sacculiphora tibionotata sp. nov. are described from Peninsular Malaysia. Current findings expand the knowledge of the morphology and occurrence of the genus Sacculiphora Liu from Peninsular Malaysia.
