Paleocene insects Xinzhuangcun Formation Sanshui Basin

Abstract

More than two hundred and seventy specimens belonging to seven neopteran orders were collected, primarily from the upper part of the Xinzhuangcun Formation. Hemiptera, Hymenoptera, and Diptera have become more diverse groups in the Early Paleocene. The environment and climate in this period are putatively reconstructed.
