How do you submit a paper to OJS as an author?

To submit a paper via OJS, you’ll need to follow these steps:

  1. Register as an author on the OJS platform. For some of the journals (e.g. Megataxa), as the editor register an account for you.
  2. Once logged in, navigate to the ‘User Home’ and select the ‘Author’ role for the journal you wish to submit to.
  3. Click on ‘New Submission’ and follow the step-by-step process, which will guide you through entering metadata, uploading your submission file, and confirming your submission.
  4. After submission, you can track the status of your manuscript through the same author dashboard.

I am a librarian/subscription agency, how do I subscribe to your journals?

As a librarian or subscription agent, you can subscribe to our journals by following these steps:

  1. Send us an email with your subscription request, including the name of the journal, the desired subscription period, and the number of locations for online access if applicable.

  3. We will respond to your email with all the necessary details to complete your subscription, including payment methods and processing.

How can I access the online content of the journals?

Online content can be accessed directly through our website. If you are an individual subscriber or part of an institution with a subscription, you will have access to full texts via IP authentication or your personal login credentials. Open access contents are free to view for everyone!

What is your policy on open access?

We are committed to the dissemination of research and support open-access publishing. We have serval pure open-access journals and some subscription-based journals which require the author to pay a small fee per page (Currently US$20) to gain full open access.

How long does the publication process take after the submission?

The duration of the peer review process can vary depending on the availability of reviewers and the level of revisions required. On average, the process can take anywhere from a few days to several months. We strive to keep authors informed at each stage of the process. However once the accepted paper is at our production office, the remaining time is usually within weeks. On average two-three weeks if the author replies to proofs in time, and properly pre-formatted paper only takes a week.

Can I purchase individual articles rather than a full subscription?

Yes, individual articles are available for purchase for those who do not wish to subscribe to the entire journal. Pricing and access details for individual articles can be found on our subscrption page.
