MSc. Juan Pablo Botero was the 2012 award recipient of the J.G. Edwards Prize by the
Coleopterists Society for the monograph entitled “Revision of the genus Andraegoidus
Aurivillius (Insecta, Coleoptera, Cerambycidae)” published in Zootaxa. Juan
Pablo is currently doctoral student at the Museu Nacional from the Universidade Federal do
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. His interest is the taxonomy and systematics of Neotropical
longhorned beetles. For his Ph.D. he is working on the systematics and phylogeny of
the Tribe Eburiini (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae).
