Beetles of China (Insecta: Coleoptera): an
annotated bibliography and index

Abstract
An annotated bibliography (1977-1996) of the Chinese beetle fauna is
presented. A total of 1,672 references is listed alphabetically. Among
these, 668 were contributed by Chinese authors, 991 by non-Chinese authors
and 12 jointly by Chinese and non-Chinese authors. Contents of the papers
(e.g. taxa described in the paper) are indicated in parenthesis for each
paper when the information is available to me. An index to family-group
taxa is provided to facilitate the retrieval of these references by taxonomists
who are interested in different families of beetles.
