Grasshoppers (Orthoptera) of Shennongjia and
Mt. Wudang Regions, Hubei Province, China: a faunistic survey with descriptions
of two new species

Abstract
This paper records 38 species of grasshoppers collected from Shennongjia
and Wudang Mountains regions in Hubei Province, China. They belong to 5
families. Among them, 13 species are new records to the region and 2 species
are new to science, viz: Pedopodisma wudangshanensis Zheng &
Li sp. nov. and Chorthippus shennongjiaensis Zheng &
Li sp. nov. Type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Zoology,
Shaanxi Normal University, Xi’an, China.
