Abstract

An annotated bibliography (1977-1996) of the Chinese fauna Diptera is presented. A total of 1447 references is listed alphabetically. Among these, 1247 papers were contributed by Chinese authors, 122 by non-Chinese authors and 78 jointly by Chinese and non-Chinese authors. Contents of the papers (e.g. taxa described in the paper) are indicated in parenthesis for each paper when the information is available to me. An index to family-group and genus-group taxa is provided to facilitate the retrieval of these references by taxonomists who are interested in different taxa.
