Macrocheilus Western Ghats De Chinnar wild life sanctuary

Abstract

Two new species of Macrocheilus Hope 1838, Macrocheilus chinnarensis sp. nov. (type locality: India: Kerala: Chinnar) and Macrocheilus bandipurensis sp. nov. (type locality: India: Karnataka: Gundlupet) are described from the dry rain shadow belts of south Western Ghats. A modified taxonomic key to all the known species of the genus from India is provided.
