New species new record Tortricidae Toonavora Argyroptocha India

Abstract

We present records of two genera of the subfamily Olethreutinae (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae) previously unknown from India: Toonavora Horak, 2006 and Argyroptocha Diakonoff, 1968; and we describe Toonavora valvaspinosa Shashank sp. nov. Illustrations of adult habitus and wing venation, comments on geographic distribution, and taxonomic notes are provided for each species. For Toonavora species we provided an identification key and checklist.
