Abstract

A new material of Dolichopodidae has been recently collected in the Daursky Nature Reserve, Zabaykalsky Krai of Russia, at the international borders with China (Inner Mongolia) and Mongolia (Dornod Province), including 20 species (all species are found in the Reserve for the first time, and 16 species are new for the Krai). Six species found in the Reserve are reported only in the East Palaearctic Region: Chrysotus orientalis Negrobov et Tsurikov, Dolichopus galeatus Loew, D. kjari Stackelberg, D. negrobovi Gosseries, D. rotundipennis Loew, Gymnopternus rohdendorfi (Stackelberg). Medetera kaszabi Negrobov was known only from Mongolia by original description. Campsicnemus flaviantenna Tang, Wang et Yang is placed in synonymy with C. picticornis (Zetterstedt) (syn. nov.). In total, 43 species are reported in this region, which apparently makes up 25% of currently known Dolichopodidae regional fauna. This paper also provides a distribution pattern for each collected species and a regional checklist of species.
