Abstract
Two new aleyrodids of the genus Aleurolobus Quaintance & Baker, 1914, viz., A. nandiensis sp. nov. on Gmelina arborea Roxb. 1815 and A. scutiae sp. nov. on Scutia myrtina (Burm.f.) Kurz, 1875 are described and illustrated. Aleurolobus nandiensis sp. nov. resembles A. confuses David & Subramaniam but differs from the latter by having ten pairs of submarginal/ subdorsal setae with the setae laterad of prothoracic segment on the submargin smallest and three differentiated teeth at the tracheal pore regions. Aleurolobus scutiae sp. nov. resembles A. diastematus Bink-Moenen but differs from the latter by the shape, having tuberculation only on the subdorsum and clustering of microtubercles into prominent median tubercles on abdominal segments I–VII and the presence of subdorsal setae. A workable key to the Indian specie of the genus Aleurolobus is given and descriptions of two new species bring the number of known Indian species of Aleurolobus to 62.
