Neotropical region phytophagous beetles new genus Euphorbiaceae

Abstract

Encathona gen. nov. is described to accommodate Aphthona lamprocyanea Blake, 1964. It is illustrated and compared to Acallepitrix Bechyné, Apraea Jacoby, Argopistes Motschulsky, Heikertingerella Csiki and Suffrianaltica Konstantinov and Linzmeier.
