Weevils of the genus Pholicodes Schoenherr, 1826 (Coleoptera: Curculionidae: Entiminae) from Turkey, with description of three new species from eastern part of the country and a key to the species

Abstract

A review of the Turkish Pholicodes fauna with photographs of the adults’ habitus and male genitalia, and a key to 14 species known from Turkey and adjacent territory of Transcaucasus are provided. Three new species, Ph. pseudalbidus sp. nov., Ph. stanislavi sp. nov., and Ph. aslani sp. nov., are described from eastern Turkey. Pholicodes albidus Boheman, 1840 is recorded herein for the first time from Turkey, and Ph. pancaucasicus Davidian, 1992 is a new record for Iran.
