Abstract

Andrzej Wolski (1979–2024) was a well-known entomologist and a world specialist on true bugs of the plant bug subfamily Cylapinae (Heteroptera: Miridae). He was an inspiring teacher, who passionately shared his biological knowledge with young people. This paper provides a biography as well as memories from several of his colleagues, a bibliography of his publications, a list of the taxa he described, and a list of patronyms named in his honor. Andrzej published 58 papers, including 45 focusing on Cylapinae. He described seven genera and 114 species.
