Abstract

The known South American species of the genus Geocoris Fallén are here divided into three morphological groups: “flavilineus” group with 7 species, “punctipes” group with 9 species, and “thoracicus” group with 3 species. Each group is characterized and the species belonging to each one listed. The “flavilineus” group is revised, including the description of five new species, and a key to included species provided.
