Abstract
The genus Microchironomus Kieffer from China is reviewed and one new species, M. cavus, is described and illustrated on the basis of the male. Microchironomus tabarui Sasa is recorded for the first time from China. Microchironomus tener (Kieffer) and M. deribae (Freeman) from China are redescribed. A world key to males is given. Parachironomus trisetifer Hashimoto et al. is transferred to the genus Microchironomus, and Microchironomus clarilatus Guha & Chaudhuri is transferred to the genus Demicryptochironomus.References
