Coleoptera claw flexion Neotropical Pleurosticti Scarabaeoidea South America

Abstract

Zagurya new genus is described from a species formerly placed in Plectris LePeletier & Audinet-Serville, 1828: Zagurya eusquamosa (Frey, 1975), new combination (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Melolonthinae: Macrodactylini). The male of the species is described for the first time. Notes on classification, distribution, and comparison with the similar genus Mallotarsus Blanchard, 1850 are presented.
