Araneae Oecobiidae

Abstract

Under the spider family Hersiliidae, Platnick (2008) lists as nomina dubia the following two taxa described from “Jaffa-Rehoboth [Rehovot]” in Israel:  Hersiliola brachyplura Strand, 1913 and H. brachyplura demaculata Strand, 1914. Platnick (2008) refers to Levy (2003: 25) but Levy, only commented that these taxa belong to the genus Oecobius (Oecobiidae), referring to “Victor Fet, in litt.” for that opinion, without making a formal transfer.
