Abstract
A new genus of the tribe Scaphoideini from China, Paramelanetettix gen. nov. with P. expansivus sp. nov. as type species is described and illustrated. The type specimen of the new species is deposited in the Institute of Entomology, Guizhou University, Guiyang, China (GUGC).
