Abstract

Rhopalopsole trichotoma Yang & Du, 2021 was recently considered by Luo et al. (2022) to be a junior synonym for Rhopalopsole basinigra Yang & Yang, 1995. Based on molecular data and morphological characteristics, R. trichotoma Yang & Du, 2021 is not a synonym of R. basinigra Yang & Yang, 1995 and is a valid species.
