The surprisingly little-known fauna of Cerambycidae (Coleoptera) of Ecuador: description of one new genus and eight new species of Acanthocinini (Lamiinae) and new records in Cerambycinae and Lamiinae

Abstract

Eight new species and one new genus are described in Acanthocinini, all from Ecuador: Anisopodus melinus sp. nov.; Anisopodus inopinatus sp. nov.; Sfina nubicola gen. nov., sp. nov.; Leptocometes quechua sp. nov.; Nealcidion devesai sp. nov.; Polymitoleiopus coronatus sp. nov.; Polymitoleiopus mindoensis sp. nov.; and Xenocona x-littera sp. nov. Eighteen new country records in Cerambycinae and Lamiinae are reported with notes.
