Abstract

New records of Iranian water mites (Acari: Hydrachnidia) from the collection of J rgen Schwoerbel are reported. Axonopsis gereckei is described as new to science. The first description is given of the female of Hygrobates bucharicus Sokolow, 1928. New records from Iran are given of: Torrenticola anomala (Koch, 1837), T. ungeri (Szalay, 1927), Monatractides lusitanicus (Lundblad, 1941), Albia stationis Thon, 1899, and Aturus barbatulus K. Viets, 1936.
