Abstract

An overview is presented of the Chinese species of Metalimnobia, subgenus Metalimnobia Matsumura, 1911. The following two species are described as new to science: M. rectangularis sp. nov., M. impubis sp. nov. Three species, M. bifasciata (Schrank), M. quadrimaculata (Linnaeus) and M. tenua Savchenko, are recorded from China for the first time. A key is presented for all nine species of Metalimnobia (Metalimnobia) presently known from China.
