Two new Hypogastrura species (Hypogastruridae, Collembola) from China

Collembola Hypogastrura hexasetata sp. nov. Hypogastrura heptasetata sp. nov. H. trybomi group systematics

Abstract

Two new species, Hypogastrura hexasetata sp. nov. and Hypogastrura heptasetata sp. nov., are described from Central and East China respectively. Both new species belong to H. trybomi group and have highly modified mouthparts. All Chinese Hypogastrura species are listed, and a key to the worldwide members of the H. trybomi group is provided.
