A new Brazilian species of Segonalia Young 1977 (Hemiptera, Cicadellidae, Cicadellini) and key to species

Abstract

A new remarkable Segonalia species is described from Brazil, based on specimens from Distrito Federal and Minas Gerais State. The genus now includes three valid species, which are all recorded for Brazil, and the type-species Segonalia steinbachi is also recorded for Bolivia. The new species is described and illustrated, a key to males of the genus is provided and the distribution is discussed.
