Abstract

Fourteen species of the lanternfly genus Pyrops Spinola were documented from Thailand during expeditions across the country and from citizen scientists’ records. The distribution maps of each species are provided, based on the examined material and records from iNaturalist citizen science platform. The species are illustrated and an identification key is also provided. The intraspecific colour variations of P. oculatus (Westwood, 1838) and P. pyrorhynchus (Donovan, 1800) are briefly discussed.
