Abstract

Promalactis Meyrick, 1908 is one of the most diverse genera of Oecophoridae in the Old World with 407 previously accepted species. Ninety-three species of Promalactis Meyrick, 1908 (Oecophoridae) are here recognized based on the specimens in the collection of Natural History Museum, London. Among them, 33 species are described as new under the authorship of Wang: P. robinsoni sp. nov., P. kathmanduensis sp. nov., P. asymmetrica sp. nov., P. latissima sp. nov., P. magnicornuta sp. nov., P. subflagellaris sp. nov., P. arcilineata sp. nov., P. curvilineata sp. nov., P. inaequilonga sp. nov., P. pallidistriata sp. nov., P. auriculata sp. nov., P. furciuncata sp. nov., P. gracilenta sp. nov., P. lativalva sp. nov., P. longiclavata sp. nov., P. parvispinata sp. nov., P. vulgaris sp. nov., P. apicibilobata sp. nov., P. apiciserrulata sp. nov., P. bacilliforma sp. nov., P. campanimorpha sp. nov., P. ciliavalva sp. nov., P. abortiva sp. nov., P. magnisaccata sp. nov., P. minuticornuta sp. nov., P. parvissima sp. nov., P. polyptycha sp. nov., P. indica sp. nov., P. similidierli sp. nov., P. spinellosa sp. nov., P. subfalcata sp. nov., P. trispina sp. nov. and P. varilonga sp. nov. Two synonyms are proposed: P. prolixa Kim, 2017, syn. nov. (= P. carinata Du, Li &Wang, 2011) and P. calathiscias Meyrick, 1937, syn. nov. (= P. cornigera Meyrick, 1918). The females of P. latignatha Wang, 2020, P. vulvida Wang, Du & Li, 2013, and P. circulignatha Wang, 2018 are described for the first time.
