Abstract

New information on the genus Himantopterus is presented. Three new taxa of the genus, viz. H. fuscinervella Huang & Horie sp. nov. (SW China, N Thailand & N Laos), H. daklak Huang & Horie sp. nov. (C Vietnam) and H. dohertyi amplicaudata Huang & Horie ssp. nov. (SW China, N Vietnam & N Laos) are described. Himantopterus dohertyi nox Hering, 1937 is synonymized with H. dohertyi elwesi Jordan, 1907 (syn. nov.) and H. fuscinervis f. venatus Strand, 1914 is synonymized with H. fuscinervis Wesmael, 1836 (syn. nov.). Lectotypes have been designated for Himantopterus dohertyi elwesi Jordan, 1907 and H. dohertyi Elwes, 1890. Adults and genitalia of the aforementioned taxa are illustrated.
