Abstract

The present manuscript is devoted to the taxonomic review of the genus Iragoides Hering, 1931. Currently, Iragoides is known by five species distributed in India, China, Myanmar, Nepal, northern Thailand and northern Vietnam. Herein, we describe a new species i.e., Iragoides alessandri sp. nov. from India and Myanmar. Iragoides peiwangi Wu, Solovyev & Han, 2022 is recorded from India for the first time. While establishing a new combination, we transfer Iragoides nilgirica Hampson, 1891 to genus Hindothosea Holloway, 1987 based on its similarity in wing pattern and male genitalia. Lectotype is designated for Hindothosea nilgirica (Hampson, 1891), comb. nov.
