A new species of Pauroaspis Tang (Hemiptera: Coccomorpha: Asterolecaniidae) from southwestern China, with a key to species worldwide

Hemiptera Sternorrhyncha Coccoidea new species pit scales key

Abstract

A new species of pit scale (Hemiptera: Coccomorpha: Asterolecaniidae), Pauroaspis chuanensis Li & Wu, sp. nov., is recorded on bamboo from Sichuan Province, China. The adult female is described and illustrated, and an identification key is provided to separate the females of Pauroaspis species worldwide.
