Abstract
Three new species of Typhoctes Blake, 1866, T. tayronensis Fernández, sp. nov. T. colombiensis Brothers, sp. nov. and T. jamaicensis Brothers, sp. nov. (Hymenoptera, Chyphotidae) are described and illustrated from Magdalena and Cesar, northern Colombia, based on a single female and a single male, and from Jamaica based on three males. These are the first descriptions of species of this genus for South America and for any Caribbean island. A comparative redescription of the males of Typhoctes evansi Quintero & Rodríguez, 1990 from Panama is also included. An illustrated key to both sexes of the known species of Neotropical Typhoctes is provided.
