Abstract
The genus Polydrepanum Carl, 1932 currently comprises five species, all endemic to the Western Ghats of India. This genus is characterized by the presence of a twisted gonofemorite of the gonopods. Two new species of Polydrepanum are described and illustrated in detail. Polydrepanum xiphosum sp. nov. is distinguished from congeners by the structure of its distomesal processes (a and b) on the gonofemorite. Polydrepanum spinatum sp. nov. is defined by the presence of four spines on the lateral margin of the solenophore of the gonopod and the absence of an adenostyle on the first and second pairs of legs in the male. A key to the species of the genus is provided.
