Abstract

The mature larva and the pupa of two weevil species—Aspidapion (Aspidapion) radiolus (Marsham, 1802) and Aspidapion validum (Germar, 1817)—are fully described and illustrated. The biology of both species was studied. The morphology of immatures of A. radiolus and A. validum was compared to immatures of Pseudaspidapion botanicum Alonso-Zarazaga & Wang, 2011 and supports the separation of the two genera as distinct.
