Abstract

A first review of the tiger beetle fauna of Azerbaijan is presented and discussed. Currently 23 species, two of them with two subspecies, are reliably known from the country. Cicindela herbacea turkestanicoides W. Horn, 1938 and Cicindela georgiensis georgiensis Deuve, 2011 are recorded in Azerbaijan for the first time. Distribution ranges and an identification key are also included.
