Abstract

A list of eleven species of the family Tetrigidae found in the Philippines is given, of them Hirrius kitangladensis sp. nov., Cleostratus omelkoi sp. nov., Centrosotettix montanus sp. nov., Bolotettix parvus sp. nov., and B. nanus sp. nov. are described from this country. New synonymy is proposed: Bolotettix Hancock, 1907 = Syzygotettix Günther, 1938 syn. nov., and new combinations are established: Bolotettix baeri (Bolívar, 1887), comb. nov., Bolotettix boettcheri Günther, 1938, comb. nov., Bolotettix semperi Günther, 1938, comb. nov., Bolotettix uncinatus (Stål, 1877), comb. nov., and Bolotettix vicinus Günther, 1938, comb. nov. Three species are transferred from the genus Teredorus Hancock to Systolederus Bol. and new combinations are proposed: Systolederus longidorsalis (Zheng, 2015), comb. nov., Systolederus jinshaensis (Zha et Ding, 2017), comb. nov., and Systolederus vicinus (Storozhenko, 2019), comb. nov. Thoradonta palawanica Günther and Scelimena boettcheri Günther are recorded from the south part of Palawan Island for the first time. Euparatettix personatus (Bol.) is new to the fauna of Mindanao Island. Platygavialidium dentifer (Stål) and Systolederus haani Bol. are recorded from Mindoro Island for the first time. The distribution of Diotarus verrucifer Stål is clarified. Keys to species of the genera Hirrius Bol. and Cleostratus Stål are also provided.
