A new species of Achaetomalachius Majer, 1989 (Coleoptera, Dasytidae) from Xizang, China

Abstract

A new dasytid species of the genus Achaetomalachius Majer, 1989 was discovered in Xizang, China and is described as A. nyingchiensis Yang & Miao sp. nov. It’s description is illustrated with habitus, ultimate abdominal tergite and ventrite, and genitalia of both sexes. The new species can be easily distinguished from other species of Achaetomalachius by coloration and morphology of the legs, tegmen and median lobe. A distribution map of all Achaetomalachius species is provided.
