New records and new species of Pachylaelapidae (Acari: Mesostigmata) from Erzincan Province, Türkiye

Acari Eviphidoidea description Karasu Valley new species soil mites systematics

Abstract

This study examined pachylaelapid mites collected between 2023 and 2024 from the Karasu Valley, Erzincan (Türkiye). Eleven species were identified in the study area. Among them, Onchodellus anatolicus sp. nov. and Pachyseius biscleritus sp. nov. are described as new species. Additionally, the male of Pachylaelaps (Pachylaelaps) armiger is identified for the first time, and a supplementary description of Pachylaelaps (Pachylaelaps) evansi is provided.
